Busy first week of February Edition!

hello and late welcome to February !!! i haven't updated the site much this month since a. i've been pouring myself into the uma cafe, and b. i updated it so much last month that there was nothing for me to do immediately but wait for the chance to make this blog post JKGNSJKA topics of discussion this time?? the uma cafe, where we ate in mesa, and MY FICTIONAL GF'S BIRTHDAY !!

so we've been preparing for a while for the UMA POPUP CAFE AT BAK&JO IN MESA !!! and the day has now gone and passed !! we made same kandi bracelets, stickers, pin badges, and prints, as well as sold a big big big bowl of 300+ d&d dice that used to form my personal collection until i realized that there simply was no reason for me to have them anymore given the fact that i only use two of the sets anyways AND am not in an active dnd group rn.. whoops... this was a wonderful event hosted by pon poko events and for my first artist's table experience it was QUITE overwhelming because WOW THE TURNOUT !!!!! IT WAS INSANE !!! AND SUPER COOL !!! here was the list of uma inspired drinks offered by the cafe during the event:

of these, i got the gold ship inspired drink

which was tasty, but i honestly wished i could taste the strawberry in more ! my helper got the haru urara inspired drink which was even tastier and i really wish i could drink chai because i liked it even more but alas. cinnamon allergy. i also forgot to ask her for a picture of it, but trust. it was pretty. aside from the drinks, my foolish favourite highlight of the event was that both times the order number called was 67, the whole cafe erupted in a loud cheer. i also really liked trading taiki shuttle stickers with a taiki shuttle cosplayer to get a selfie with them hehehehe... and literally everyone who came through was so nice!! we sold out of our dice super quickly, and sold a LOT of uma stan buttons, matikanefukukitaru + spongebob prints

as well as various of the uma stickers !!

and at the end of the night we made enough money that as long as nothing goes wrong before then WE'RE GOING TO LA FOR MY BIRTHDAY IN AUGUST !!!!! for those unaware im very autistic about james buffett and have been wanting an LA Margaritaville birthday dinner for literal AGES but we've never made it happen. this is the fucking year !!!!!

aside from the awesome event with awesome people, my roommate and i also ate at two places while we were in mesa

a little breakfast/lunch at the little mesa cafe, that was super tasty and quick. the staff there was also so nice and sweet even though i did sweep a full glass of water of the table and nearly died of embarrassment. i got a tuna and bacon melt with a side of onion rings, and both were so nice !!! it reminded me of a diner back in my roommate and i's Oregon town, kozy kitchen...

and for our dinner after the cafe

we had ramen at a little spot called daruma ramen and bowl. i got a spice level 3 spicy tonkotsu ramen with an extra egg and it was literally so delish. we've been to one other ramen spot here and it didn't hit nearly as hard. but my roommate and i will always be searching for something to match the ramen spot we impulsively stopped at before the dndads live on my birthday several years ago in Portland...

that was all the excitement of the 8th, though, and the 9th was MY FICTIONAL GIRLFRIEND'S BIRTHDAY !!!!

the 9th largely consisted of my sleeping for the daytime because WOW ARTIST TABLEING IS EXHAUSTING ACTUALLY but once i was up around ~4:30pm is when i celebrated!! i made her favourite food [pineapple jalapeno pizza] put on a wax melt that reminded me of her [pineapple honeysuckle] and ate some carrot cake while watching make some noise and the new muppets show special with sabrina carpenter with her funko pop !!! it was honestly a really nice way to spend time and unwind after yesterday!

and now that i'm free from the last three months of prep i did for that event... mayhaps i can work on some writing projects of mine.. hhehehehehehe.... see you next time folks !! and if you're here because of a card from the event, welcome !!
